I absolutely LOVED this movie! It was funny and sweet and AMAZING. If I could have a relationship just like theirs I would get married tomorrow! I need to find my nerdy, scruffy guy! Go see it if you can!!

New Mexico. (Im a slacker, I know!!)

New Mexico... what to say about New Mexico?! Well I'm glad I went, but cant say I'll ever go back again. Seriously it was hot and dirty and dry and HOT! Dottie was completely wrapped up in her WEIRD (really weird, recluse, hiding from the law or something kinda shit going on) boyfriend to the point where she left me at the bar one night with her friends (who I didn't know!) because he demanded she come over. I was PISSED! Who does that when you have a friend visiting for only 4 days!? I told her I was pissed AND I thought her boyfriend was a jerk-off for even asking her to come over when I was there!! Then another day when Dottie and I were supposed to go shopping around town, I was up and ready by 10 but of course Billy Bob Thorton (crazy weird BF) had spent the night... Sooo she didn't even come out of the bedroom till 1 in the afternoon!



Dottie sent me a driver to pick me up from the El Paso airport. I wasn't expecting a Limo or anything, but I also wasn't expecting a deaf 70 year old in a 1982 Cadillac either!! His backseat was overflowing with shit so I had to sit up front with him. And right away he mentioned that he was going to be stopping for gas and told me I could get lunch there if I needed, that's when I thought about asking him how long the drive was gonna be... he replied "oh just TWO AND A HALF hours!!!" ahhh I guess I'm so used to being, at the most 1 hour away from the airport!! Anyways about half hour into the drive I HAD to put my Ipod in cause he was blasting AM Conservative RIGHT wing talk radio!! I thought my ears were gonna start bleeding!! I wish I knew how to get pics on the comp from my cell cause I snuck a really good pic of my driver... think Elmer Fudd.



By the end her kids were driving me completely up the wall too! I think shes sooo wrapped up in work, her new bf and the custody battle that they are a tad bit neglected. Zack, her 7 year old is mentally about a 4 year old. (his teachers have even said that!) By the end of the 4 days, I just wanted to shake her and HIM cause I couldn't take his fake crying and fussing and her coddling him! Katherine was great, but I feel bad for her too. Thank god that Dottie's sister lives with them or they would be a mess of a family!



Anyways other then being frustrated with Dottie, things were pretty good. I got along good with her friend Jen, so we hung out lots. All the "dreamboats" that Dot told me about were seriously fugly, fugly, fugly! lol I snuck pics of them and posted them below! I came home with 2 awesome rings though, so NM was good for something!



I was very, very ready to come home. Home to places and houses that aren't adobe style with NO air conditioning. Home with trees and rivers and beaches. Home with people who AREN'T herbalist, vegans, republicans, dirty or artsy fartsy. HOME, I love the NW! =)

Random, Random updates.

Ive been going through books like CRAZY lately. Like I just finished a 500+ page book in 2 days. So today after work I decided to make a goodwill book run. Its hit and miss there, but when its a hit it just makes my WEEK! Today I found 2 books from 2 of my fav authors that I hadn't ever read and one that Id never heard of but sounded good! I don't understand people who buy books then decide to give them to goodwill, but I sure don't mind being the one to buy them for $2.99!

Anyways this week has been great. Haven't done anything exciting, but I think its the weather and the fact that I'm off Fri and only have to work a half day tomorrow! Then I'm off to stay at a cabin with a bunch of friends. I don't know any of the guys that are going but Jamie promised me that there's gonna be LOTS of guys and then just us 5 girls, so the odds sound pretty good to me! =) Hopefully I'll have some good stories when I get back!

Went and saw My Sisters Keeper last weekend and was sooooo disappointed with it that I was just pissed at the end. This is my favorite book and what makes it so good is the surprise ending... so why in the hell would the director/writer (or whoever is in charge) CHANGE the ending?? Up until the end it was pretty good, very sad and then when I realized that they were going to change the ending I almost left! I definantly muttered bullshit to my mom who was with me. She had never read the book and loved the movie. So bottom line if you love the book, skip the movie OR else go into knowing that the ending has changed!!

Next week I leave on Thurs to go to New Mexico for 5 days to visit my crazy friend Dottie! (if you don't remember her, please re-read my "blind date from hell" blog!!) Anyways since moving to New Mexico she has gotten a divorce, opened up her own interior design business and has a new boyfriend. She has been calling me telling me about all the young "dreamboats" around town and already told me she's going to take me on a tour of the college... She thinks she's gonna lure me into moving there. We shall see how dreamboaty the dreamboats are before I move though!! =) I'm sure I'll have EVEN more great blogs after that trip!

And last but not least...
A while ago I wrote a blog about a friend that I lost. Anyways she called me out of the blue a couple of months ago announcing she was pregnant (complete SHOCK) and thought everything should be just fine with us. It was very good for me because I was able to tell her EVERYTHING I needed to tell her and felt really good about getting a little but of closer. Anyways I had told her that if she really wanted me back, she had to prove it and call and txt me. I told her it was all on her and I wasn't going to try ( I mean I tried for 8 months, it was her turn) Anyways like I predicted (but hoped I was wrong) she called a couple of times, but never tried very hard.

Well I hadn't heard from her in about a month and a half and yesterday she txt me to tell me she had the baby and sent me a bunch of pics. Im SOOOOO conflicted about how I feel. On one hand she was at one point my best friend and meant the world to me, so I'm super happy for her. BUT on the other hand I haven't seen her in a year, never saw her pregnant, wasn't a part of her pregnancy (her choice), wasn't a part of the birth (which I NEVER would have imagined when we were best friends, I would have been IN that room with her.) So I don't even know how to act and its really really bothering me. I feel really lost about the whole situation. Anyone have any advice?!

Well sorry to end on a depressing note, but I'm sure after the weekend of drinking and BOYS and my week with Dottie and the DREAMBOATS I'll have better blogs! Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!!

Sunshine Cleaning.

I was looking up movies last night to see if Away we go and My sisters keeper were going to be in Vancouver this weekend and saw that Sunshine Cleaning was playing at the cheap theater. I had REALLY wanted to see it but it wasn't in Vancouver until now. This theater is a regular theater except its older, so it plays movies that are in between theater and DVD for THREE dollars!! Since it was going to be gone by Friday and I had dinner plans tomorrow, I decided to go see it tonight. Nobody wanted to go see it so I went to the 10pm so by myself! It was a super cute movie. Made by the same people as Little Miss Sunshine and was as good as it too! It felt good to spend a little time with myself. I went the the gym, took a shower, put my sweats on and my wet hair on top of my head, stopped by the minit mart for a few treats and spread out for the movie! If any of you have a weird thing about not doing stuff like that on your own... TRY IT! Essp. a movie since you don't really talk to the person you go with anyways! Rent sunshine cleaning when it comes out... OR if you're feeling really adventuress drive to Vancouver tmrw to see it for cheap! I'm off to bed.

NEVER piss off a deaf man with a crush...

I was at IKEA last weekend and remembered that I majorly needed to write this story...

Lets see I was probably about 19. It was either my first or second year at Clark and Erika and I had become friends because we kept having class after class together and we just decided it was fate! Anyways we had yet another Math class together and it is defiantly a class I will never forget!

One of the first days of class I had a note passed to me from a guy sitting at the table in front of me. I realized he was deaf and politely "talked" with him for awhile. This quickly became a daily routine so much that it was hard for me to learn. He was always grunting to me and passing me note after note.

He also asked Erika to tutor him. So they would meet up and ALL he would do was ask/WRITE her questions about me!!! AHHHHH so the deaf guy had a crush. Let me explain this guy... He was probably about 38-42 years old (remember I'm 19!!), had grey hair (what was left of it) and a little pot belly. Even if he wasn't deaf I wouldn't be interested! Trust me if a hot deaf guy showed interest in me it would prob be a bonus not having to listen to him!!

So this went on and on. Him writing notes and me trying my hardest to be nice and talk to him. Anyways he had an interpreter for the class who would sign to him what the teacher was saying and ask questions for him. One day the teacher broke us up into groups to show us how to use our Calculators. the teacher asked me to stay where I was because a girl had my same calc but had forgotten it so he wanted me to share. I knew that deaf man was trying to get my attention, but I didn't feel like dealing with him so I ignored his grunts and listened to the TEACHER instead. BAD choice Aubree...

So when class is over everyone goes to leave and when I get to the hallway I hear a lady saying "excuse me, excuse me..." So I turn around and its deaf man and his interpreter... for the next 10 minutes I stand there while deaf man CHEWS ME OUT through his interpreter. So there's this lady SCREAMING (because that's the way he was signing to her) at me about me not joining his calc group and saying it was because he was deaf and I was a bitch... so on and so on. I was just standing there with my mouth gaped open, not knowing who to even look at... the deaf man signing in my face with his angry face, or the screaming lady next to him?! I was so pissed that I didn't even try to explain my self. Just said "I have to go to work" and walked off.

Seriously who can say they've been chewed out THROUGH an interpreter BY a deaf guy?

ME, I CAN!

Anyways he then started to e-mail Erika horrible e-mails (which I wish we would have saved!!) about me being a bigot and a "skunk bitch." (I think he didn't like my new blond on top dark on bottom hair do LOL) I ended up emailing him back freaking out on him and his response was "Can we be friends? Want to go to lunch?" HELL FUCKING NO. I was soooo done with deaf men and STILL AM. Guess I am a skunk bitch after all.

PS. While we were at IKEA Carrie and I were trying to get someone to help us. I saw a worker walk by and couldn't believe my eyes... Carrie saw him too and tried to call out to him. I grabbed her shirt and yelled NOOOOO not him. Not like he would have heard her anyways... =).

Here's a few pics of our beautification of our front yard/area! A couple weekends ago Carrie and I got busy and planted flowers, painted rocks and made stepping stones! It was lots of fun. Now Im just trying hard to keep the flowers ALIVE!!

Day OFF!

I have the day off today, and since it was my boss who took it off it's a PAID day off!! We have a deal where if I need a day off its not paid, but if they take days off I get paid for it. Its a pretty sweet deal because they take quite a few days off! Oh and when I took two days off for Vegas they paid me too... they said it was because they just felt like it! Love them.

Anyways since I knew I could sleep in today, after I went to the gym last night I stopped by and got a redbox movie. So I got myself a glass of wine and watched Benjamin Button until 1am. Super good movie, but I totally didn't cry like everyone said I would! Then when I went to go to sleep I was super hot and couldn't get comfy SOOO at 1am I got up and took a sleeping pill! I figured if it was my day to sleep in I WAS going to insure that that happened! Needless to say I CRASHED out and slept in till 10:30!!! Which felt sooooo good!

I got up, had my leftover SUBWAY oatmeal cookie for breakfast/lunch and started cleaning the apt. I love cleaning when I have time to do it. I turn on my iPod open windows, light candles and start scrubbing! I really like to clean when things NEED cleaning... I like to see results! So my fav things to clean are kitchens and bathrooms. I'm weird I know, but I hate cleaning when things aren't dirty! Our blue bathroom sink was completely white from toothpaste spit and now its sparkling. Thats the kind of cleaning that gets me excited. I also learned today that I HATE HATE HATE my vacuum. I wondered while I was vacuuming the carpet why I felt like i was stepping on shit/crumbs, but then I used it to vacuum the bathroom floor and it was spitting out dirt and little rocks everywhere!! so bottom line is that it is sucking shit up then spitting it out. GREAT! Wish I had money to buy a DYSON!!

Anywho next on the agenda is going to the gym and then Target to get random stuff like Tums and toilet bowl cleaner! Oh and maybe Kohls after reading Hillary's blog since I have a 30% off coupon and need some candles!!

Ive been slacking major lately on the bogging... you havent missed much though. Ive just been working lots and lots, enjoying summer and figuring out all my school stuff. I start school full time in Oct, so for now Im just trying to have a life while I still can. Im really stressing about how Im going to make ENOUGH money while Im in school. I really wish I had the guts and the BODY (that might help) to strip!! seriously working one night a week would be SWEET! =) Hope you all are doing well. Just got home from church. I LOVE the little church I go to here in Vancouver Its called The Compass and its in downtown on Washinton. Its little and filled with young people with tattoos! =) This doesn't really mean anything except its not full of critical old folks! The music is amazing and I really like the pastor too. His name is Micah and he has the coolest tattoo of fall leaves going around his forearm. He is an excellent speaker too. I'm so glad to have found a church I love here and in Longview, now I really have no excuse not to go! Anyways Amber and Micah are on there way down and we are going to go to a first birthday party I'm excited to see my monster!

This weekend was super fun. Friday night was an absolute blast! We ended up finding a gay bar in Vancouver that had "dress up" karaoke... it was hilarious! Thanks Aly and Hillary for joining and hope you had fun too! (pictures are on my myspace if you haven't checked em out yet)

Yesterday my roommate and I spent the day at the farmers market and planting flowers in our front "yard." When we were digging holes we kept finding big rocks so we decided to go to the craft store and buy paints. We spent the night drinking boxed wine and painting rocks! They are super cute and I'll post pics soon! We are gonna make stepping stones tonight... YEAH for crafts!!

My birthday was on Wednesday! It was a pretty un-eventful day... I worked then went to Pilates class and then went to get sushi with my roommate Carrie. Sushi was good. We got there at 8:30 and they closed at 9 though sooo we scarfed our sush, tried to gag down some sake (It was both of ours first time trying it... it was SICCCKKKK plus they gave us HOT sake instead of cold. We wasted all of it! It reminded me of hot cherry cough syrup!) and then headed home!

Tomorrow night we are gonna go get some drinks though! Alyssa is coming down and a couple friends too. I'm ready for some Pizza and Bucket drinks... YEAH for the Rock! Thank you to everyone who called, wrote and sent me birthday wishes!!

4 hour hair apt!!!

I had a hair apt with my friend Jamie tonight at 5:30. We were just doing color, so I figured it would take a couple hours and then I could swing by trader joes to get my last minute items for the wine party AND go to the gym afterwards.... WRONG! I was at the salon until 9:30!! It was crazyness, but when you want crazy color that's what happens, it also doesn't help that I have a shitload of hair to mess with! Anyways it took so long because we had to bleach out my pink before we could re-dye (and had to wash and dry in between those 2 steps!) Jamie is an AMAZING colorist though and if you ever need your hair did, she's your girl! The first couple pictures are of the in between bleaching and re-dyeing... the color was sooo funny we had to take a couple pics! Enjoy!

Today Eli (lil man I nanny for) had a Doctors Apt, so Trinette (mom) and I both went and took separate cars because she wanted to leave from there to go to work. Everything went fine with the apt (Minus ALL the coughers in the lobby... we just kept holding our breath!! No Pig Flu for us!) Anyways we go to leave and both immediately just started laughing when we saw my car. I mean could this GEO be ANY closer?! I literally couldn't get to my door... and trust me I tried just to make a point! A geo has GOT to be one of the smallest cars on the market, yet this dumb ass driver parked like it was an SUV that didn't have enough space!! So Trinette and I snapped a few pictures and then she laughed at me while I crawled over the passenger seat so I could drive off. Seriously I don't understand people.
